But here is an irrefutable fact: eating less and moving more, no matter how "badly" you are eating, works. Below are the results from an Iowa teacher's "McDonald's-Only" diet.
- A 6-foot-tall teacher weighed 280 pounds, amounting to a body mass index (BMI) of 38, which is considered obese.
- Beginning on September 15, 2013, he followed a 2,000 calorie diet, using the daily recommended allowances for carbohydrates, proteins, sugar and fat.
- For exercise he walked 45 minutes a day.
- After 6 months he is at 224 pounds and his BMI is down to 30.
- Total cholesterol dropped from 249 to 190,
- including a 25 percent decrease in his LDL or “bad cholesterol.”
- Sodium levels and blood pressure are normal.
- He also lost a total of 21 inches off his chest, waist and hips.
- Of which, 9 inches were from his waist &
- more than 7 inches from his hips.
